Godmanchester property November 2023, Cambridgeshire

The brief requested work to be of the highest standards. This is not an issue for our company.

In this project, we were asked to help decorate a beautiful property in Godmanchester. The work consisted of painting the newly added parts of the building on the ground floor and repainting the rooms of the original building, including the walls, ceilings, doors and windows (Which had been previously stained.)

The entire preparation process began with sanding the wood stain coating to obtain the appropriate adhesion of the paint and at a later stage applying a layer of an appropriate primer to give the correct adhesion for the chosen paint.

An unusual task was to prepare the structural wooden beams and columns, which required 2 stages. The first stage consisted of painting these wooden elements with appropriate paint.

The second stage consisted of delicately sanding the paint coating to obtain the desired effect and give character.

Again, the Festool Sander Rotex 150 with extraction device turned out to be an extremely helpful tool for this task.

The project was finished on time and on budget.
