Godmanchester 2023
In this newly built 7-bedroom house we were responsible for decorating and tiling.
Decorating.
In this project, we had to paint 7 bedrooms, kitchen/dining room, pantry, lounge, game room, gym, 2xHSL (hall, stair, landing) using different colours plus all the woodwork including doors and window trims.
We needed 120 litres of emulsion just for the base coat of the new plaster!
Walls and ceilings have been painted using Dulux Trade Vinyl and Diamond Matt in white, blue, grey, and green.
All the oak parts like wine racks, stairs, and handrails were finished with Osmo Polyx wood oil.
The foundation of Osmo wood finishes has been based upon purified and refined natural resources, which are carefully harvested natural oils and hard waxes. Because of that, Osmo oils are always our first choice.
Skirting boards, architraves, window sills, and trim have been undercoated, and 2 coats of Dulux Trade Quick Drying White Gloss have been applied.
Tiling.
According to the project building spec, we’ve been asked to tile the whole ground floor using an extra large porcelain tiles format(1200 x 600mm) which required special knowledge and selection of cutting tools.
2 bathrooms, a sauna room, and 2 en suite with niche/cubby holes have been finished with aluminium tile trim.

Showers, sink backsplashes and surfaces around baths have been finished using ceramic tiles in a Brick Bond pattern –
that means the tile joints are directly centred to the above tile and can be achieved using a rectangular brick or square-shaped tile.  The tile can be laid horizontally (traditional brick bond) or vertically (stepladder).
